Here at RouteMe² we try to create compelling products and services that are built upon the concept of Location Based Services (LBS) for mobile phones. That is, real-time services that take advantage of positioning technology on phones, such as GPS, as well as network connectivity, to provide up-to-date information about local services. An example of LBS would be a service that delivers news stories directly to your phone, about what is happening in the area around you.

Our primary LBS product is PedNav™, an application that helps you plan your activities efficiently when moving around and interacting with an urban environment. It can be thought of as a location-aware personal assistant that helps people keep track of what's important to them. In the future, we plan on allowing third parties to provide data sources for use with PedNav, so that anyone with a compelling LBS idea may deploy it to handsets running PedNav.
